Maj. Korey Kasper, 37th Training Wing Human Performance Squadron sports medicine physician, poses for a photo at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, March 1, 2023. Between 2012 and 2014 the 37th TRW embedded athletic trainers in Basic Military Training and found that treating injuries within the squadron saved the Air Force nearly $11 million and drastically reduced the amount of trainees not completing BMT due to musculoskeletal injuries.
