Support Airman of the Week: Mrs. Pinson Published Jan. 3, 2017 By Staff Reports 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Gail Pinson, 982nd Maintenance Squadron contracting officer representative and native of Wichita Falls, Texas, has been with the Air Force for more than 20 years and is the Support Airman of the Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Jan. 3-9, 2017. Most significant accomplishments: Pinson is most proud of her 20-year Air Force career and her family - her husband, Brandon, and daughters Emmy and Morgan. Airman’s story: “I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas,” Pinson said. “I appreciate the time I spent working on B-52 avionics while I was active duty. I enjoy scrapbooking and watching Morgan play softball.” Supervisor comments: “Mrs. Pinson performs government oversight of Air Education and Training Command’s largest maintenance trainer contract which maintains equipment items for the 82nd Training Wing’s training mission,” said John Taylor, chief contracting officer representative. “She aids in the development and implementation of government quality control procedures and problem resolutions to maintaining over 15,000 training assets including the training squadron’s ground instructional training aircraft. Her efforts ensure Sheppard and the 359th Training Squadron Detachment at Naval Air Station Pensacola continue the mission to train and inspire.”
