Valentine's Day love story Published Feb. 14, 2017 By Tech. Sgt. Michael Johnson 335th Training Squadron KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- This Valentine’s Day we would like to celebrate the love of two Keesler couples. Below is the story of Tech. Sgt. Michael Johnson, 335th Training Squadron, DCAPES instructor . 2016 was a difficult year for the Johnson family. During a visit made by Johnson’s brother and his family, Johnson thought his brother didn’t look well, but nothing appeared to be wrong. One month later, they received news that his brother was in the hospital with cancer. Johnson’s wife and two children traveled home with him to serve as his support network as he stood by his brother. By the time they got there, he was in a coma. His brother was admitted on a Monday and passed away the following Friday. The following month, another of Johnson’s brothers was in an accident with his fiancée. The fiancée did not survive and his brother was not expected to live either. After spending time in the hospital he ended up making a full recovery; however, he is still healing from the loss of his fiancée. Facing these loses together, the Johnson family persevered. They are ready to embrace 2017 and welcome a new baby later this month.
