Our focus is to deter China and our Airmen need these skills to adapt under pressure.” Davidson and Montgomery met with leaders and local civic leaders to discuss the importance of warfighting capabilities and community partnerships. Davidson acknowledged the retention of not only Airmen, but also their families. He highlighted the need for continued support to ensure the success of the military mission. “It takes family and community to build Airmen that are willing to sacrifice and serve,” said Davidson. “Communities matter to Airmen and their spouses. Sheppard is central to where these Airmen can focus on training because of this community around them.”
